A New Year (and first blog post!)
A LOT happened in 2015. I got married, I turned 30, I moved out of the apartment I had been living in for the past 6 years, and I quit my corporate marketing job of 4 1/2 years to focus on my career as a freelance musician. While those were all positive milestones, they also all involved quite a lot of stress, and I hope for 2016 to be a lot more stress-free.
It's funny how the Universe works. Almost immediately after quitting my day job, music opportunities started flowing into my life. The one that I am most excited about starts in February. I will be playing in the Theatre For A New Audience's production of the Shakespeare play "Pericles," to be directed by award-winning director Trevor Nunn and with original music by Shaun Davey. The show will run through the end of March, and I'm super pumped!
I am so excited to fill my life with as much music as I possibly can, and I look forward to using this blog to share my new musical adventures (and other random musings) with you.
2016, I am ready for you. Let's go.
